To celebrate its exceptional 35th season, FASS is proud to present an OFF FASS concert by the marvellous I Musici ensemble at an iconic venue in Saint-Sauveur. A landmark of our beautiful town, the Saint-Sauveur Church boasts the perfect acoustics to bring Antonio Vivaldi’s masterpiece, The Four Seasons, to life. Come and experience with us this changing of the seasons, which mirrors the stages of life. Thanks to the originality and dazzling flair of solo violinist Julie Triquet and the I Musici de Montréal orchestra, rediscover Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons as you have never heard it before! The orchestra’s musicians will reveal the elements of nature, weather, and village traditions that Vivaldi invites performers to evoke through their playing. The shepherd, the true hero of this story, experiences in turn the joy of spring, country dances and bagpipes, the peacefulness of sleep on the heath, the oppressive summer heat, the fear of thunderstorms, the exuberance of the grape harvest, the excitement of the hunt, and finally the biting cold of winter as the northern winds battle one another. A timeless masterpiece, a free and vibrant interpretation, and a musical experience to be fully enjoyed.
